Born out of
frustration.
Rom started his career in lettings, not construction. Working as a negotiator in Canary Wharf, he spent years watching the same story play out: contractors who didn't show up, quotes that doubled, and agents left apologising to landlords for things that weren't their fault.
He knew the industry well enough to know exactly what was missing — reliability, communication, and someone who actually cared. So he built it himself.
What started as a two-person operation — Rom and his father — serving local agencies has grown into a team of 20+ covering projects across London and the Home Counties. The mission hasn't changed: deliver work you're proud of, on time, every time.

Tom doesn't exist in the tangible world, but he represents everything the company stands for. The name combines Rom's own slightly re-spelled first name with his fictional hero's surname — a fitting encapsulation of the ambition behind the brand.

From two people
to a full team.
Rom and his father started a small two-person operation under a different company name, serving a single letting agency in Canary Wharf. The seeds of what would become Tom Harvey were planted here.
Expanded to multiple agencies across East London. The team grew and the reputation built — but Rom knew a fresh identity was needed to match the ambition.
The rebrand. A new name, a new identity, a new standard. Tom Harvey Contractors launched with a clear vision: professionalise property maintenance from the ground up.
Expanded to work with agencies across East and North London. First major refurbishment projects completed under the Tom Harvey brand.
Brought on dedicated decorators, head contractors, and a trusted subcontractor network. Coverage expanded to all of Greater London.
Launched the Client Hub portal via Jobber — giving agencies real-time job tracking, digital quotes and invoices. 500+ jobs completed.
Tom Harvey Contractors Ltd officially incorporated (Co. No. 16499315). Team grew to 20+ skilled individuals across trades.
Over 1,000 call-outs and 250 refurbishment projects completed. Working with London's leading letting agents and property managers.

All our work comes with a 12-month workmanship warranty as standard. For projects over £10,000, we extend this to a 24-month warranty — because larger jobs deserve greater peace of mind.
We position ourselves between budget and premium — delivering real value without cutting corners. Standard wear and tear is not covered, and we don't assume responsibility for electrical appliances or fixtures not installed by us.
